Hi, I’m Shannon

I’m so glad you’re here.

I’m Shannon, a doula based in Cambridgeshire, supporting birthing people and their families across Huntingdonshire, Bedfordshire and Northamptonshire through pregnancy, birth and the early postnatal period.

I’m also an AuDHD parent of four and a VBA3C mum; experiences that have shaped not just why I became a doula, but how I show up for every family I work with.

I know what it feels like to move through pregnancy carrying questions you’re not sure how to ask, to sit in appointments feeling unheard, and to make enormous decisions without feeling fully informed. I also know how different that experience can be when someone is genuinely in your corner.

I specialise in supporting neurodivergent birthing people, including those with ADHD, autism and AuDHD, and families planning a VBAC, including VBA2C, VBA3C and home birth after caesarean. I also support people navigating pregnancy after a previous difficult birth experience, wherever they are in that process.

My role isn’t to tell you what to do or steer you toward any particular outcome. It’s to make sure you feel informed, understood and confident in the choices that are right for you and your family, whatever those turn out to be.

What you can expect from me

My story

My own pregnancies and births taught me just how much it matters to feel heard, supported and respected and how rarely that’s guaranteed within a busy maternity system.

I also learned that the NHS isn’t set up to work for everyone, particularly if you’re neurodivergent, find appointments overwhelming, or are navigating complex birth choices like a VBAC or birth after a previous difficult experience.

Becoming a doula was my way of creating the kind of support I wish I’d had; calm, personalised and built entirely around you.

There is a white mug with pink lettering reading 'Donut On Call' and a pink cup on the table. The background shows a living room with a window, a blue curtain, a colorful couch, a white shelving unit, and various decor items.
