Looking Forward
Support for your next chapter.
Support for parents considering another pregnancy after a difficult previous experience.
Whether your previous pregnancy, birth or postnatal experience left you feeling frightened, overwhelmed, unheard or simply unsure about what comes next, Looking Forward offers space to reflect, explore your options and move forward with confidence.
Together, we’ll look at what happened, what support might help and what you need to feel more prepared for the journey ahead.
You don’t have to wait until you’re pregnant again to seek support.
Sometimes, the hardest part is deciding whether you’re ready to try again.
You might be carrying unanswered questions, fears about what could happen next time or a sense that your previous experience still needs processing.
Looking Forward offers space to explore those feelings without pressure, judgement or an agenda.
This isn’t therapy.
It’s a chance to be heard, gather information and begin looking forward.

Considering another baby can feel complicated.
You might be carrying questions from your previous experience, wondering what support could look like next time, or simply trying to work out how you feel about the future. Here are some answers to common questions about Looking Forward and whether it might be the right fit for you.
-
Not at all. This support is for anyone whose previous pregnancy, birth or postpartum experience left them with unanswered questions, worries about the future, or a feeling that they need space to reflect before considering another baby.
-
No. You might be thinking about another baby in the near future, a few years from now, or simply exploring how you feel about the possibility. This space is for you wherever you are in that process.
-
No. Looking Forward is not therapy, counselling or mental health treatment. It is a supportive space to reflect on your experiences, explore your options and consider what support might help as you look ahead to a future pregnancy.
If I feel another professional service would better support your needs, I'll always signpost you appropriately.
-
Absolutely. Partners are welcome at all sessions and many families find it helpful to explore their experiences and hopes for the future together.
-
That's completely fine. We can explore your previous birth experience, discuss your options for future births and talk through any questions or concerns you have about planning a VBAC.
-
You're welcome here. As an AuDHD doula, I understand that processing experiences, making decisions and navigating maternity care can look different for different people. Sessions can be adapted to suit your needs and communication preferences.
-
Wonderful. The aim of Looking Forward is to help you move into the next stage feeling more informed, supported and confident about your options. If you'd like ongoing support in the future, we can discuss the different ways we might work together.
-
That's exactly what a connection call is for. We can have a no-obligation chat about what you're looking for, and whether Looking Forward feels like the right fit.
